All boys and girls ages PreK through 8th Grade are welcome to participate in the Wahoo Wrestling Club.  Sign-ups are generally held in November each year. Our GOLD season typically commences at the beginning of December and ends in late March following the Huskerland State Wrestling Tournament.  Our BLUE season is geared towards younger and/or inexperienced wrestlers.  The BLUE season commences at the beginning of December and ends in February following the Wahoo Wrestling Club tournament.  Practices are geared not only towards advancing kids’ wrestling knowledge but also to improve their overall athleticism as wrestling is a FOUNDATION SPORT that can make your children better at all other sports.  As a result, practices include not only wrestling drills and live wrestling but also tumbling drills designed to improve strength, balance, and agility.  Wrestling is also a great way to teach kids LIFE LESSONS such as humility, respect, toughness, and self-discipline.  We truly believe that a lot can be learned from winning and losing in a 1-on-1 setting.  Those are invaluable teaching moments for parents and coaches.   If you would like more information about our program please contact one of our board members or coaches with questions.
